Drill reports and safety papers, typed up by 7am.

Your crews fill in paper every shift. The supervisor WhatsApps a photo of each one. By 7 the next morning your office has one Excel sheet with every metre, every bit and every safety check in it, in full. Anything a person should look at is marked red, with the reason beside it.

Sample rowWritten 43 m, the depths give 43.35 m

Why it matters

The detail is on the paper, and the paper sits in a file.

Progress reports, toolbox talks, risk assessments, PPE checks, rig checks. Often the office only has time to type the basics. Then the standby hours never reach the invoice, a missing signature turns up at the mine's audit, and nobody can say which rig drills the most metres for the money.

How it works

Three steps, nothing to install.

  1. The supervisor sends a photo

At the end of the shift, one photo of each paper on WhatsApp, from site.

  2. Every paper is read and checked

Depths, metres, hours, bits, names and signatures, checked against each other. A person checks every red row.

  3. Your sheet before 7 every morning

In Excel, in your own layout: metres drilled, materials, safety meetings and safety checks, each on its own tab.

Rows from made-up papers. Your sheet also carries every depth, hole, bit serial, name and the photo each row came from.

For the owner

The numbers the papers already hold.

Metres per hour, per rig

See which rig and crew drill the most, from the reports you already fill in.

Water per metre

A hole that used three times the water of the others stands out the next day.

How long a bit lasts

Every bit serial is tracked from the day it goes on to the day it comes off.

Safety file, ready

Every toolbox talk, risk assessment and PPE check in one place when the mine asks.

Questions

What drilling contractors ask.

What does the crew have to do?

The supervisor sends one photo of each paper on WhatsApp at the end of the shift. No app, no login, nothing to install.

Which papers can it read?

Daily drilling reports (progress and shift reports), consumables and bit sheets, toolbox talks, task risk assessments, PPE checks and rig inspections. Printed or handwritten. We set it up on a few of your own old papers first.

Can the sheet follow our own layout?

Yes. Tell us the columns and tabs you want, or send the sheet you use today, and the rows land in that layout.

What gets marked red?

Metres that don't match the from and to depths, a missing geologist or supervisor signature, standby hours, a bit serial that can't be read, crew who did not sign the toolbox talk, missing safety gear and faults on the rig check. A person at Voypelo checks every red row.

Does it replace anyone?

No. It takes the typing off the person in your office, so they spend the time on the red rows and the invoices.

Where is our information kept?

You stay the responsible party under POPIA. Before your first month we sign a one-page data agreement, and if you stop, we delete our copies within 30 days.

What does it cost?

One monthly fee for the whole operation, all rigs included. You hear it on the first call. No set-up fee, month to month.

Which countries do you work in?

South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe, anywhere your supervisors have WhatsApp. We are based in Greenstone Hill, Johannesburg.
