Every fill, every truck
Alpecca does it for every slip your drivers WhatsApp, and your checked fuel sheet arrives before 7 the next morning, one tab per truck. WhatsApp us, or see the pages for Namibia and Botswana. More free tools: the slip checker and Excel template and the fuel cost calculator.
Questions
It depends on the truck, the load and the road, which is why the useful number is each truck's own usual. As a rough guide, loaded long-haul trucks often run between about 2 and 3 km per litre; compare each fill with the same truck's last few, not with a table.
Take the kilometres since the last fill (this odometer minus the last one) and divide by the litres in this fill. 600 km on 240 litres is 2.5 km per litre.
When the litres are more than the tank holds, when the same slip appears twice, when one truck fills twice on the same day, or when its km per litre drops well below its usual.
