Pull phone numbers and emails out of any text

A WhatsApp group export, a pile of email signatures, a PDF list of suppliers: paste the whole lot and get a clean list of every South African phone number and email address in it, duplicates removed, ready to copy.

ID numbers, account numbers and reference numbers are left alone, so they do not turn into fake phone numbers. Everything happens on your device. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere or stored.

Getting the text out of WhatsApp

• iPhone: open the group, tap its name, scroll down, tap Export Chat, then Without Media.
• Android: open the group, tap the three dots, then More, Export chat, Without media.

Open the text file it makes, copy everything and paste it into the box.
